The CBI has arrested an absconding postal agent who has allegedly defrauded despoitors to the tune of Rs 3.29 crore.

Rajesh Kumar Chandrakant Trivedi, who was absconding since the CBI registered four FIRs against him in 2014, was arrested from the Kalupur, Ahmedabad, the CBI spokesperson said here today.

It is alleged that Trivedi had collected Rs 3.29 crore from varius depositors for investments in postal department schemes in the Godhara post office, he said.
