CBI arrests IOB GM in a recruitment scam

CBI today arrested a senior official of the Indian Overseas Bank in connection with a recruitment scam, official sources said today.

Gandhi (who goes by one name), General Manager of the bank, was produced in a local court, which remanded him to judicial custody, the sources told PTI.

CBI had last year registered a case and conducted searches on the bank's establishments in different parts of Tamil Nadu based on information that many candidates managed to get appointment using fake certificates.
