CBI arrests three in chit fund scam

The CBI today arrested three persons from Odisha in connection with its probe against Swastik India Group, a chit fund company, as part of its investigations in ponzi scam.
The CBI sources said Ranjan Kumar Das, Pramod Parida and Sabyasachi Pani were taken into custody for allegedly duping investors by offering attractive interest rates.
They said Swastik India is one of the 44 companies which are facing probe of the agency in the chit fund scam, famous as Saradha scam.
Das had allegedly founded Artha Tatwa group, also facing CBI probe, before setting up Swastik India. He is said to be closely associated with BJD MLA Pravat Tripathy, who has also been questioned by CBI in connection with the case.
