Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar today said "getting attention" could be one of the intentions behind the ceasefire violations by Pakistan.
Parrikar said the recent ceasefire violations by the neighbouring country were taking place on the International Border (IB) which is manned by the Border Security Force.
"Sometimes intent of firing is to get attention," he said while interacting with journalists on the sidelines of the naval commandos conference here.

The ceasefire violations by Pakistan, which had stopped after the Director General-level talks between BSF and Pakistan Rangers in Delhi on September 12, resumed on October 23 and a civilian has been killed and seven injured till now.
