Ahead of assembly elections in Punjab, Chief Election Commissioner Nasim Zaidi today reviewed the state's poll preparedness.
Zaidi, along with other election commissioners, held meetings here with nodal officers, an official spokesman said.
Punjab goes to polls on February 4.
"The CEC had a first hand assessment and review of poll preparedness of the slate election machinery in view of general elections to the Punjab Legislative Assembly," the spokesman said.
Later, the Commission also held meetings with representatives of political parties, including ruling Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) and opposition Congress.
The commission will also hold meetinsg with DCs, SSPs and other officials tomorrow.
