Celery production reaches 4659 MTs in Punjab

Production of Celery crop has reached 4659 Metric Tonnes (MTs) in Punjab during the Year 2014-15.

Total average yield of the crop was 1366 kg per hectare and total area under Celery crop was 3411 hectare in the state.

The Celery is being mainly cultivated in Amritsar, Tarn-Taran, Patiala, Gurdaspur and Hoshiarpur districts of the State, an official spokesperson of the Horticulture Department said today.
