Cellphones and SIM cards recovered from jail

Begusarai district administration seized nine cellphones and 14 SIM cards from the divisional prison today, official sources said.

Acting on a tip off, District Magistrate Manoj Kumar and Superintendent of Police Harpreet Kaur conducted a joint raid in Begusarai divisional prison and seized cellphones and SIM cards from different wards.

Rs. 11,000 cash and Maoist literature were also seized, they said.
