The Centre today agreed to Jharkhand's proposal to set up a Sanskrit University in the state's Deoghar district.
The approval came during a meeting between Chief Minister Raghubar Das and Union Human Resource Development Minister Smriti Irani in New Delhi, an official release said here.
The Ministry also assured to help improve the education level in the state, it said.
Jharkhand education minister Neera Yadav was also present during the meeting.
