Chadha goes down in National 6-Red Snooker quarters

Teen sensation Ishpreet Singh Chadha stunned defending champion Varun Madan 5-3 to advance into the pre quarter finals but only to lose in the last eight of the National 6-Red Snooker Championship here today.

Ishpreet won the first frame 57-15 but Varun pocketed the next two frames 60-06, 39-11 at the Bengal Rowing Club.

Ishpreet turned the table in the fourth and the fifth frames 44-10, 29-21.

Down by a margin of 2-3,Varun bounced back and won the sixth frame 70-00, but could not hold himself as he lost the final two frames 10-49,01-51.

However,later in the day, Chadha lost to Kamal Chawla of Railway Sports Promotion Board 5-1 in the Quarter finals.
 

Meanwhile,Sourav Kothari (Current Indian top ranked 6-Red Snooker player), Aditya Mehta (India's only professional Snooker player) and Brijesh Damani won their respective matches against Manish Jain, Anurag Giri and Shahbaaz Adil a to advance into the Quarter finals of the Championship along with Manan Chandra, Kaal Chawla, Pushpinder Singh and Rajat Khaneja.
