Press Trust of India New Delhi
Chana prices moved down by 0.23 per cent to Rs 4,866 per quintal in futures trade today as speculators reduced exposure amid muted demand at spot market against adequate stocks position.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, chana for delivery in December fell by Rs 11, or 0.23 per cent to Rs 4,866 per quintal with an open interest of 26,350 lots.

Likewise, the commodity for delivery in January traded lower by a similar margin to Rs 4,765 per quintal in 24,100 lots.

Marketmen said offloading of positions by traders owing to slackened demand in physical market against adequate stocks position, mainly led to decline in chana prices at futures trade.
