Chana prices moved down by 0.58 per cent to Rs 4,769 per quintal in futures trade today amid profit-booking by speculators at prevailing levels.
However, expectations of lower output capped the fall.
At National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, chana for delivery in July month eased by Rs 28, or 0.58 per cent to Rs 4,769 per quintal with an open interest of 61,290 lots.

Likewise, the commodity for delivery in June contracts traded lower by Rs 27, or 0.57 per cent to Rs 4,678 per quintal in 1,23,580 lots.
Analysts said besides profit-booking by speculators at existing levels, fall in demand in the spot market mainly kept pressure on chana prices in futures trade.
