Chana up by 0.1% on spot demand

Press Trust of India New Delhi
Chana prices were up by 0.07% to Rs 4,077 per quintal in futures trading today after traders created fresh positions after pick up in demand in the spot market.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, chana for delivery in April month declined by Rs 3, or 0.07% to Rs 4,077 per quintal with an open interest of 30,050 lots.

Likewise, the commodity for delivery in May contracts traded higher by Rs 2, or 0.05% to Rs 4,130 per quintal in 6,720 lots.

Analysts attributed the rise in chana prices to pick up in demand in the spot market against restricted supplies from producing regions.
