Chandigarh DGP transferred

Sanjay Bainiwal, a 1989-batch IPS officer, will be the new Chandigarh DGP, replacing Tejendra Singh Luthra, a Union Home Ministry order said.

Luthra was today transferred from the city, an official spokesman said here. He will now join Delhi Police.

Bainiwal is currently posted with Delhi Police as special commisioner.

Luthra, a 1990-batch IPS officer, was posted to Chandigarh over two years back.
