Charas seized in J-K

Police today seized 7-kg charas allegedly from a truck driver near Jawahar tunnel on Srinagar-Jammu National Highway in Kulgam district of the south Kashmir.

"During checking near Ohma crossing, police recovered about 7.1-kg charas wrapped in maize covers from truck driver Sushil Singh Thoker, a resident of Udhampur," a police spokesman said.

The truck driver was arrested and a case registered against him, he said.
