The CID has filed charge sheet against the nine accused including Trinamool Congress councilor Mohammed Iqbal, in the SI killing case in Garden reach area in February this year, a senior police official said.
"We have filed chargesheet against the nine accused in the killing of the Sub-Inspector in Garden reach area. Out of the nine, four have been arrested and five still absconding," IG, CID, Vineet Goyal said.
Special Branch Sub-Inspector Tapas Chowdhury was shot dead in a clash between Congress and Trinamool Congress workers during a college election in Garden Reach area here on February 2.
Iqbal, one of the accused in the sub-inspector killing case in the violence was later arrested from Bihar.
