Sochi, Feb 6 (Itar-Tass) Trouble-torn Chenchenya's economy has been rated among the most efficient in Russia, a senior official said.
"As of today, our budget is recognised the most efficient and transparent one," Ramzan Kadyrov, Head of the Russia's North Caucasian republic said, after briefing Russian President Vladimir Putin about the situation in the republic yesterday.
Average monthly wages in Chechnya slightly exceed 14,000 roubles while wages of teachers amount to 18,000 roubles, he said.
Kadyrov said giving special attention to security problems had paid off as not a single act of terror was reported in the republic.
Law enforcers conducted a number of special operations and killed several militant leaders.
"The Russian Interior Ministry and the Federal Security Service note growing efficiency of Chechnya's law enforcement agencies," Putin said.
"Nonetheless, please do not forget about the families of the killed and injured.
" According to Kadyrov, the most acute problem in the republic is unemployment, so the republican authorities have worked out several programmes to encourage the development of the industrial and agrarian sectors in the republic. (Itar-Tass)
