A Chennai-bound plane with 170 passengers on board made an emergency landing shortly after take-off as a child complained of illness at the N S C B International airport here today.
Airport sources said the Spicejet plane made a "medical emergency" landing with all standard procedures at 5:06 PM shortly after taking off.
The eight-year-old passenger, who had complained of sickness, was attended by doctors and the plane left later.
The plane had initially left for Chennai at 4:30 PM.
