Children attacked by gaur

A girl and a boy suffered

serious injuries after being attacked by gaur here, police said today.

Divya and sivasankar were returning home when they were attacked by the gaur last night. They were rescued by people who heard the alarm raised by them and rushed to Madurai government hospital.

Wild animals were intruding into the busy areas here in search of food and water, police said.
