Chiled dies after swallowing baloon

An eight month old male child died after swallowing small pieces of balloon at Sathanur village near here today.

Police said the child Praveen Kumar and his elder brother Udhayakumar (3) were playing with balloon, when the balloon had burst. Praveen Kumar who tasted pieces of balloon had swallowed them.

The parents who saw the child unconscious and gasping had rushed him to the primary health centre at Kolakkanatham where the doctors declared him brought dead.
