Press Trust of India New Delhi
Red chilli and jeera prices rose by Rs 100 per quintal in the national capital today on buying support from retailers and stockists amid paucity of stocks.

Restricted arrivals from producing belts also supported the uptrend.

Red chilli prices rose by Rs 100 to conclude at Rs 8,900-13,400 per quintal.

Jeera common and jeera best quality also increased by Rs 100 each to finish at Rs 11,300-11,500 and Rs 14,600-14,900 per quintal, respectively.

Traders said buying by retailers and stockists against restricted arrivals from producing belts pushed up chilli and jeera prices at the wholesale kirana market here.
