Customs superintendent S K Lal said the department's sleuths, acting on a tip off, stopped two trucks at the bus stand in the town and seized the haul of Chinese cauliflower.
The truck driver confessed that he had brought the consignment from Nepal, where it had been sent from China, and was being taken to Muzaffarpur in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, he said.
Samples of Chinese cauliflower have been sent to the laboratory for testing, he added.
