Chris Klein gets engaged

'The American Pie' star Chris Klein has got engaged to girlfriend Laina Rose Thyfault after three-and a half years of dating.

Klein, 35, and Thyfault, 29, first met at a mutual friend's wedding. The 'Wilfred' star proposed her in Venice Beach over the weekend, reported Us magazine.

"Chris and Laina are very happy and look forward to celebrating their engagement over the holidays," his representative said.

The couple is apparently planning for a summer wedding next year.
