Churu was the hottest place in Rajasthan today recording a maximum temperature of 42.8 degrees Celsius followed by Sriganganagar at 42.6 degrees Celsius.
Kota, Bikaner, Jaipur and Barmer recorded maximum temperature of 42.3, 41.5, 40.7 and 40.5 degrees Celsius respectively in the state whereas other places recorded day temperatures between 37.5 and 40 degrees Celsius, Met department said here.
Meanwhile, light rain occurred at isolated places in Kota division.
The MeT department has forecast thunderstorm accompanied with light rain at isolated places in the state during the next 24 hours.
