The CII Innovation Club has set a target of helping students of engineering and management institutes in West Bengal set up at least 100 companies by next year.
Aloke Mookherjea, Chairman, CII Eastern Region, Innovation Taskforce, said this initiative is pioneering in concept and design.
The idea is to spread the spirit of innovation in the state with participation of all - incubators, fund people, industry leaders, counselors, and also successful innovators.
"CII thinks that innovation should be a tool kit in academic curricula in engineering and other courses," he said at a workshop which was attended by students and other officials of CII and various companies.
