Claire Danes mesmerised by son

"The Homeland" star Claire Danes is so mesmerised by her 11-month-old son Cyrus that she finds it hard to take her eyes off him whenever he is around.

The 34-year-old actress, who gave birth to Cyrus last year with actor husband Hugh Dancy, feels that the love and affection between a mother and a child is different from other relationships, reported Contactmusic.

"I guess it's closest to being infatuated with a lover or something, but it's not that. It's cellular. So yeah, that the love for your child is physical was a big surprise," Danes said.

"I can't not look at him if he's anywhere nearby, because there's not competition. I can't read. I can't watch a show. I can't do anything but stare at him doing nothing," she added.
