A clash broke out between two communities in Kumhartoli area here Wednesday over alleged desecration of place of worship, police said
At least two policemen suffered minor injuries while clashing groups hurled stones at each other, a police release said.
The clash broke out following some tension for the last three days over alleged desecration of a place of worship, they said.
The injured policemen were sent to Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences for treatment.
At least half a dozen persons were detained for questioning, the police said.
The police are camping at the place.
