Class 11 student killed in fight with classmate

In a shocking incident, a Class 11 student was killed in a fight with his classmate in the classroom at the Government higher secondary school at Vilampatti in the district today.

Police said Sundarapandi slapped Vinodh on the face during the fight, which broke out after the latter tore his notebook.

Vinodh lost his balance and his head hit the edge of the bench, killing him on the spot, police said.

Sundarapandi was later arrested, they said.
