The Labour department of the Delhi government today carried out a cleanliness drive in Connaught Place involving local traders.
New Delhi MP Meenakshi Lekhi also participated in the drive, a vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and administrated an oath to school childern, traders and participants about the cleanliness.
The area which was cleaned under this campaign was between F&N Block, Middle Lane and Connaught Place.

"Everyone is participating in Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. It is the responsibility of every person to keep their nearby areas clean," Lekhi said while addressing a gathering at Central Park.
School children also performed a Nukkad Natak on cleanliness to create awareness.
Munish Kumar Gaur, Deputy Labour Commissioner (New Delhi district), also motivated the participants about the cleanliness drive.
