Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis plans to reach out to the people on the occasion of his government's first anniversary on October 31, state revenue minister Sudhir Mungantiwar said here today.
The Maharashtra government will organise a 'Vikas Parishad' (development conference) in prominent cities to understand common people's views on development of their respective cities.
"We will ask people what they need in their cities and will allot funds according to their demands. Of course, we will accept only pragmatic demands," Mungantiwar said.
He said that these conferences will be part of the Maharashtra government's first anniversary celebrations, adding that the first such conference was held in Chandrapur and the next one will be held in suburban Dombivli.
"We will seek the people's views on 47 issues including clean drinkable water, transport, cleanliness, roads and sanitation," Mungantiwar said.
Fadnavis has asked every department to list their top five achievements to be showcased on the anniversary, he said.
