Intense cold wave conditions continued to prevail in Himachal Pradesh even as the weather remained dry in most parts of the state.
Barring Kalpa which recorded 2 cms of snow and Mandi and Bilaspur which recorded 4 mm and 3 mm of rains, there were no report of rains or snow from any part of the state.
The high altitude tribal areas and other high mountains reeled under piercing cold wave conditions with minimum temperatures staying between minus 12 and minus 18 degree Celsius and Keylong and Kalpa in tribal Lahaul and Spiti and Kinnaur districts recording a low of minus 8.1 degrees and minus 3.6 degrees, followed by Manali 1.2 degrees.

Solan recorded a low of 4 degrees, while Shimla and Bhuntar recorded minimum temperatures at 4.8 degrees and 5.2 degrees, followed by Palampur 5.5 degrees, Sundernagar 6.1 degrees, Una 7.6 degrees, Nahan 8.3 degrees and Dharamsala 8.8 degrees C.
The local MeT has predicted rains or snow at isolated places over higher hills over next 48 hours and in mid hills tomorrow due to a fresh Western Disturbance lying over the region.
