A college clerk was shot dead after a clash erupted between two rival groups of students in Chandausi police station area here this morning.
The rival groups had clashed in Saraswati Vidya Mandir Inter College two days ago, but the teachers had pacified them at the moment, said Superintendent of Police Rakesh Kumar Singh.
The two groups clashed again today when the teachers and the college staff had come out to broker peace between them, during which one of them fired at the college clerk Ashutosh Pathak, killing him on the spot, Singh said.

The SP said the police is investigating the matter and the culprits would be nabbed soon.
Meanwhile ABVP activists launched a protest over the incident and demanded arrest of the culprits within 24 hours.
