Cong expresses happiness over BJD MLA's release

"What Maoists are doing are anti-people. They are thus insulting the wisdom of people, who have elected such people's representative. Every political party must rise to the occassion and support Hikaka and strongly condemn the Maoists," party spokesperson Renuka Choudhary told reporters here.
The 37-year-old Laxmipur MLA was today freed at Balipeta in the Maoist hot-bed of Narayanpatna in the district where a Maoist 'praja' (people's) court had decided to release him. He was abducted in the early hours of March 24 in Koraput district. PTI AMR SPG
