Cong first decided on disruption, then chose issues: Javadekar

Press Trust of India Aurangabad
Union Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar today lambasted Congress for not allowing Parliament to function during the monsoon session.

Addressing a press conference here, he said, "Congress first decided it will not let the House work at all, and then it decided on the issues on which it would create pandemonium. The party is unable to digest its defeat (in 2014 elections)."

Javadekar was here to attend a coordination camp of RSS.

When asked why he was attending an RSS event instead of touring the surrounding (Marathwada) region which is reeling under a severe drought, the minister shot back: "Should I attend a Congress event then?"

The minister, however, added that both the Centre and the state government were taking steps to provide succour to the drought-hit farmers.
