A Congress and an RLD candidate were booked while show cause notices served to BJP and SP leaders for allegedly violating the model code of conduct which is in force in Uttar Pradesh for the upcoming assembly polls.
"An FIR has been registered against Congress leader Pradeep Mathur for distributing coupons of Rs 100 each for getting the vehicles of his supporters filled with fuel during his nomination procession," ADM and in-charge MCMC Ravindra Kumar said.
RLD candidate Ashok Agrawal has also been booked for distributing coupons of Rs 125 to his supporters for the similar offence, he said.

Kumar said notice has been served to BJP candidate Puran Prakash from Baldeo constituency for addressing a gathering in Raya town yesterday without taking permission from the authorities concerned.
He said show cause notices have also been served to RLD candidate Rishi Raj Singh from Chhatta assembly constituency and Samajvadi Party candidate Atul Sisodiya for using more than permitted vehicles and distributing food among their supporters prior to filing of their nominations.
RLD candidate from Goverdhan Narendra Singh has also been served a notice for distributing food to his supporters, he said.
The ADM said BJP candidate from Mant constituency has been asked to furnish the expenditure incurred on extra vehicles used by him prior to filing of his nomination.
Candidates, who either used vehicles or distributed food packets, have been asked to provide details of expenses incurred on such items, so that the same may be added in their respective accounts, Kumar said.
He said cash of Rs 5,46,515 and 4.5 kg silver was seized from different areas of the district by SST teams and the Flying Squad under different magistrates.
