Cong's Rajasthan, JK units request Rahul to take over as party

and Jammu and Kashmir state units of the today passed separate resolutions requesting to take over as the party president.

"The party is strengthening the voice of people as a strong opposition against the under the leadership of Party workers want to be the party president, therefore we in today passed a resolution for this," state president Sachin Pilot said.

Pilot exuded confidence that the party would win the assembly polls due next year.

The two state units also passed resolutions authorising Congress president to nominate the next state presidents, state unit members and delegates.

The Pradesh Congress Committee meeting was chaired by member Hussain Dalwai.
