Jaipur unit of Congress will soon launch an agitation to protest against the increase in power tariff by state government in Rajasthan.
President of Jaipur District Congress Committee Pratap Singh Khachariawas said the strategy for the agitation will be drawn at a meeting here tomorrow.
"Power tariff increase has put burden on people and this is anti-people move. In the last three years, the government increased the power tariff by nearly 34 per cent and a big agitation will be taken up by the district Congress," he said.
The decision was taken today at a meeting at Khachariawas which was attended by Rajasthan Congress vice president Archna Sharma, former MP Mahesh Joshi, former minister B K Sharma and former mayor Jyoti Khandelwa among others.
