More than 300 women workers of Congress today staged a protest against the Narendra Modi-led government in center for failing to curb the inflation.
Protesters, led by state Mahila Congress president Mandakini Patel, gathered at District Panchayat office in Lal Darwaja area and shouted slogans.
"BJP acquired power by promising to curb inflation. But as soon as it got power, it is hiking prices of several commodities and services," said Patel in a statement.
"BJP has hiked prices, starting with Railway tariffs. The government also failed to stop the exponential price rise of vegetables and other food items," it said.
