Constable arrested for taking bribe

Madhya Pradesh Lokayukta police today caught a head constable of police red-handed while taking a bribe of Rs 2,000.
The accused Uday Singh Pawar, posted at Raghwi Thana, had demanded Rs 4,000 from the complainant Dilip for 'settling' a case against him, said the superintendent of police D K Soni.
Dilip paid him Rs 2,000 as the first instalment yesterday. Then he approached Lokayukta Police who laid a trap to catch Pawar.
A case under Prevention of Corruption Act has been registered against Pawar.
