A police constable was today arrested here on charge of allegedly "outraging modesty" of a woman, police said.
Srinivasulu, attached to Kadapa I Town police station in Kadapa district took the victim to an isolated place at Keesara area here last night and outraged her modesty, they said.
Based on the complaint filed by the woman, a case has been registered under IPC sections 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) and 323 (voluntarily causing hurt) against the constable and was subsequently arrested, Keesara police station inspector P Guruva Reddy said.
