The chairman of a private construction company was arrested here today in connection with an incident of firing in which a senior railway official escaped unhurt.
Police said Subhas Agarwal, Chairman of ARSS Infrastructure Projects Ltd, was arrested in connection with the shooting that took place near Patia area here yesterday.
Three motorcycle-borne miscreants had opened fire at the vehicle of joint general manager of East Coast Railway, Ajay Kumar, they said.

While Kumar narrowly escaped, the attackers fled the scene after firing two rounds, police said.
"Subhas Agarwal has been arrested by the police in the case and further investigation is on," Commissioner of Police R P Sharma said.
