Container truck knocks down traffic constable, dies

A 50-year-old traffic head constable was today killed after being knocked down by a container truck on the Mumbai-Agra highway here, police said.

The incident took place when the head constable Nanabhau Bagul was performing his duty, an official attached to the Ambad police station said.

A case has been registered against the driver of the container truck, who is absconding, police said, adding investigations are underway.
