Contraband hasish worth Rs one crore was seized by police from a village in Bihar's East Champaran district last night, police said today.
Acting on a tip-off, police conducted a raid at a place near Railway crossing in Chota Bariarpur village and seized the contraband from two smugglers, Officer in-charge of Chitauni police station Vijay Yadav said.
The two smugglers had tied as many packets of hasish in their thigh with the help of an anklet, the OC said.

They have been identified as Rajendra Gupta and Upendra Kumar, both residents of a place under Pipra police station of the district.
During questioning the two revealed to the police that they were given the contraband for delivery in Delhi for which they were paid by a man in Pipra village of the same district, the OC said.
