A gang of four contract killers, planning to kill a man, were arrested today by the police here in Bihar's state capital.
"The operation was conducted on a tip-off. During interrogation they told us that a jailed criminal Dharmendra Kumar had given them a contract to kill one Chandan Kumar for Rs 2 lakh and paid Rs 70,000 in advance," Patna SSP Manu Mahraj said.
Chandan was to marry Dharmendra's girlfriend, he said.

The arrested persons were identified as gang leader Sonu Kumar, besides three members Santosh Rai, Karu Kumar and Radheshyam Sah.
Two pistols, 10 roudns of ammunition and Rs 65,000 cash were seized from them, he said.
The SSP said that the gang comprised a total of 14-15 members which was involved in over two dozen incidents.
Their kingpin Sonu had come out of jail recently.
