Contract labourers arrested

About 200 persons, working as contract labourers with Tamil Nadu Electricity Board, were arrested today, while attempting to stage picketing in front of the TNEB Office at Tatabad here, seeking bonus and incentives, police asid.

They shouted slogans in support of their demands. Some labourers squatted in the middle of the road, blocking vehicular traffic for a while, police said.

However, all of them were removed and arrested, they said.
