Contractor shot dead in UP

A 52-year-old contractor was shot dead by unidentified persons in Khekra area, police said here today.

Afsar Ahmad was killed when he had gone to sleep in a mango orchard in Rataul village last night, they said.

Police said that a case had been lodged and body sent for postmortem. They also said that the motive behind the murder was not clear.
