Convict serving life term dies after falling ill

A 32-year-old convict sentenced to life imprisonment today died after allegedly falling ill in the district jail here.

Imran, convicted in a rape case in 2011, was taken ill last night and shifted to the district hospital where he died during treatment, police said.

He was a resident of Mau, police added.
