Cooperative mills crush 73.23 lakh qtls sugarcane in Haryana

Cooperative sugar mills in Haryana have crushed 73.23 lakh quintal of sugarcane and produced over 6.07 lakh quintals of sugar so far during the ongoing crushing season.

Stating this here today, a spokesman of Sugarfed said that cooperative sugar mill Shahbad has so far crushed a maximum of 12.29 lakh quintals of sugarcane and has produced 1.07 lakh quintals of sugar, followed by cooperative sugar mill Rohtak which has crushed 12.12 lakh quintals of cane, producing 98,730 quintals of sugar.

He said cooperative sugar mill Meham has crushed 7.86 lakh quintals of sugarcane and has produced 63,800 quintals of sugar, Cooperative Sugar Mill Kaithal crushed 7.66 lakh quintals of sugarcane and produced 64,835 quintals of sugar while Cooperative Sugar Mill Karnal crushed 7.06 lakh quintals of sugarcane and produced 61,230 quintals of sugar.
 

Similarly, Jind sugar mill crushed 5.74 lakh quintals of sugarcane, producing 47,325 quintals of sugar, Panipat sugar mill crushed 5.27 lakh quintals of sugarcane and produced 43,600 quintals of sugar, Sonipat mill has crushed 5 lakh quintals of sugarcane, producing 41,500 quintals of sugar and sugar mill in Palwal crushed 4.89 lakh quintals of sugarcane and thus produced 40,265 quintals of sugar and Gohana sugar mill has crushed 5.34 lakh quintals and produced 38,390 quintal of sugar.

Apart from this, Sugar Mill Assandh has crushed 6.9 lakh quintals of sugarcane, producing 53,100 quintals of sugar.

So far, the average recovery of sugar from cooperative sugar mills has been 8.96 per cent, he said.
