A Special Police Force (SPF) constable was arrested today for allegedly murdering his wife and burying her body in a forest area in neighbouring Ranga Reddy district last month, police said.
The constable, identified as Rama Krishna, had lodged a missing person complaint with police on August 14 stating that his wife Supriya (19) was untraceable, said Narayanguda police station Inspector S Bhim Reddy.
"A case was booked and during the course of investigation, it came to light that the constable had allegedly killed his wife on August 6 by strangulating her and burying her body in a forest area of Vikarabad in neighbouring Ranga Reddy district (of Telangana) before setting it afire with help from his friend," the Inspector said.

As per preliminary investigation, Rama Krishna, who got married to Supriya last year, suspected that she was in touch with another man, police said.
The accused is a resident of Himayath Nagar here.
Narayanguda Police has registered a case of murder and carrying out further investigations.
