Cop hurt in road accident

A police sub- inspector was seriously injuries after his motorcycle fell into a dry canal near Neerukulla village in the district today, police said.

Sub-inspector P Indrasena Reddy (30), attached to Sultanabad police station here, was returning from Neerukulla when his motorcycle accidental slipped into a parched canal near Neerukulla village, around 20 kms from here, in the wee hours, Sultanabad Circle Inspector Tula Srinivas Rao said.

Reddy was grievously hurt and was taken to a private hospital in Karimnagar town by police, the officer said.

Rao said Reddy's condition is stated to be stable.
