Copper falls by 0.3% on weak global cues

Amidst a weak trend in the global market and subdued spot demand, copper prices fell 0.26% to Rs 419.60 per kg in futures trade today.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper for delivery in far-month February shed Rs 1.10, or 0.26%, to Rs 419.60 per kg business turnover of five lots.
Metal for delivery in month shed 85 paise, or 0.20%, to Rs 414.20 per kg in a turnover of 132 lots.
Analysts attributed the fall in copper futures to weak global cues amid data showing property prices declined a second month in China, the largest metals consumer, and after weaker industrial production data in the US.
